## Description

desertcart.com: Nakamichi GrubLock 24k Gold Plated Spade Y Banana Plugs, 10-18 AWG | Excel Series, Gauge Size 4mm Speakers Amplifier Hi-Fi AV Stereo Audio Wire Cable Screw Connector, 8 Pcs (4-Pairs) : Electronics

Review: Beautiful and functional - Actually, the installation of the speaker wire into the Nakamichi Spade Y Banana Plug (why is it called a banana plug when it's just a split Y?) ñààwas very straightforward. There are 2 important things to remember: the first is to make sure you strip enough of the insulation so have the appropriate amount of exposed wire inside the device, and second, do NOT remove the screws from the device - leave them in the screw holes in. These things make otherwise you'll go crazy trying to get them back in while trying to keep your speaker wire in place. Once the speaker wires are in the device you can and hook them to the speaker terminal posts much easier than doing it with bare wire, giving you a more positive connection and if you change speakers it's just as easy. Yes, the Nakamichis are on the expensive side but you get what you paid for: high quality craftsmanship and materials and very aesthetically pleasing.
Review: great value - great quality

## Features

- ✅ Nakamichi Corporation Ltd. founded in 1948 by Mr. Etsuro Nakamichi, is a Japanese consumer electronics brand that originated in Japan and gained popularity from 1970s onwards from producing high quality audio cassette decks to design-oriented home cinema audio systems, speakers, Hi-Fi systems, sound bars and automotive stereo products.
- ✅ Nakamichi GrubLock spade connectors fit directly into your in-car A/V receiver, amplifier, subwoofer or audio components equipped with binding posts seamlessly, saving you the hassle of screwing in or unscrewing speaker wire – especially when space is tight.
- ✅ This set of GrubLock Excel Series - 24k Gold plated spade connector uses direct gold-plating technology so it does not tarnish or corrode over time. The entire core from the bottom up to the tip is made of copper for better sound optimisation.
- ✅ The gold colour looks dull because there is no underlying layer of shiny, distortion-causing nickel. So, all you get is clean and pristine audio quality to your speakers. With the colour coded sleeve, it helps identifying speaker wire's polarity in order for your speakers to produce the truest audio frequencies and sound wave from the source.
- ✅ GrubLock dual 2-set screws design will ensure the spade connector stays securely connected to the speaker wires. You may secure both set screws to the bare speaker wires for maximum contact or secure one set screw to the speaker wire's PVC jacket for elasticity strength.
- ✅ Nakamichi GrubLock Excel Series spade connectors come with 3-Year warranty and support 10 AWG - 18 AWG speaker wires. This package comes with 8 Pcs (4-Pairs) of GrubLock spade connectors.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great connectors at a great price.
*by M***N on June 29, 2026*

Great construction, easy to use, 2 set screws to ensure it stays attached and doesn't pull out, collar goes over the inner top prevent set screws backing out and give a nice proffesional look to the install, and low resistance to minimize signal loss. Very happy, would recommend.
