I always wear a pr of uv blocking sunglasses now because I think there's a lot of uv coming off this lamp,my eyes ache when I'm near it. It's very well made,very heavy and quiet enough not to be noticeable.I can't confirm whether it's genuinely 1000w equivalent. I haven't got a par meter ,subjectively it feels really well made and fulfilled by Amazon meant it turned up in 2 days. The 800w would've been a wait so that's why I went for the 1000. All these products are tested for safety compliance and I would've thought that the specifications would have been confirmed as well before getting approval,but who knows? The world is full of scammers. But I am going to buy another one soon. I'm not sure why this is so cheap compared to the Mars lights for example so maybe the spec is lower or maybe the others are just overpriced or are using better heat sinks and power supplies.
