It dissolves for soaking. **Q: Can this be safely used in a whirlpool tub? I have been told not to use essential oils in the bath because of their tendency to clog the jets.** A: I used to use it in our old one with no issues. Just let it dissolve first before starting the jets. It doesn't leave an oily film in the tub after so I don't imagine the jets do either. **Q: what is expire date?** A: Salt , especially soaking salts should last years stored in a sealed container in a cool dark space. Some sources recommend using scented epsom salts within 2-3 years. Epsom salts may clump due to humidity exposure. They are still magnesium sulfate or salt, though may loose potency.
