It only gets sun for maybe half of the day, but it lights up fairly bright every night. I cant comment on how long they last because I don’t see it all night. They at least last brightly for 4 hours, if not more. My only gripe is that the colors change quickly instead of a steady fade. Each star is a different color, but the two closest to the top are almost the same. The hue gradient timing bothers my OCD, but otherwise great lights!Update Sep 2020** these finally bit the dust this summer. The solar panel faded and did not work any longer.
