Weather Resistant Finish Our Leisure Locks RV Paddle Lock is made weather resistant, rust proof, crack free finish in all climates. Heavy Duty powder coated locks bring the best aesthetic finish, but also the most travel tried durable coating in one simple design. Compatible Cutout Opening Size 1. Prior to installation measure existing opening after removal of previous lock to insure compatibility based on following opening size; 2-3/4” X 3-3/4” X 1-1/2” 2. Remove the old lock carefully by taking out four screws from the back of handle, two side screws & plate. 3. Place Leisure Locks RV Lock into the front facing opening of the door. Attach the new striker plate & (2) Shorter screws on {front edge of door}. 4. Holding in the back portion of the Leisure Locks RV Lock align & connect to the front portion of the handle. 5. Place and hand tighten screws (DO NOT USE A SCREW GUN/ IMPACT WRENCH) Ensure a snug but not over tightened fit for the screws. 6. **Q: Will it fit a 13 foot scamp?**
A: This lock fits doors that are 5/8" to 1" wide. It probably will not fit the 13' Scamp because the locking bolt has to be fitted into the door jamb. Look for a lock for your Scamp that has an enclosed cap that screws to the inside wall of the camper not like the silver piece in the picture.

**Q: what if i need extra keys?**
A: You don’t need keys at all. These are single sided wafer locks than can be picked in about 30 seconds by a novice. Locking it is more of a annoyance to yourself than it is a preventative to a thief.

**Q: Can I order 2 (a set) and have them keyed the same?**
A: Yes.  Let BABS RV & Marine Supply know when you order them that you want them KEYED ALIKE.

**Q: Will it fit a 1992 newmar kountry star?**
A: We have a 1995 Sandpiper and it fit our door perfectly.

I installed this handle on my brand new trailer door so i could close it from the inside since it only came with the big bar latch system on it and we couldn't keep the door closed while we were inside the trailer. While it was intimidating cutting into my new door, installation went much better than I anticipated since I had never done something like this before. I recommend creating a template, as I did, before hand so you are sure placement is correct before you start cutting holes in your door but I imagine if you're replacing a broken latch this will be an easy swap. Keys stick a little going into the locks but they function perfectly once you get them in.
