I have to delete the light from my system and re add it so it will work properly. Blink support reached out to me after my 1 star review. They did a lot of digging to find out my issue including sending me a new light and camera which had the same issue. Once they found out what router I am using they had a solution very quickly. I have T mobile home internet and my modem/router/gateway is 2.4ghz and 5ghz and it switches back and forth between the two in order to give you the best speed. This flood light is designed to run on a 2.4ghz network. All I had to do was create a second network for my home using my T mobile app and I set that one to 2.4ghz only. I used this network to migrate all of my Blink devices to. That way everything else in my house can stay on my 2.4ghz/5ghz primary network without being affected and Blink has its very own network to run without conflicts. It has been over a week now and the light works perfectly now. Big shoutout to Blink's incredible customer service! ### ⭐ Why I would avoid buying Blink as a brand. *by T***T on July 30, 2025* I bought a blink outdoor floodlight 3 with an outdoor camera that was compatible with this floodlight and attached to it. The floodlight only lasted just over two years and then would no longer work. When I called blink, they told me it was out of warranty and that I would have to get a new one. When I bought a new one, I got the blink outdoor floodlight 4 because the blink floodlight 3 was not available anywhere at that time. When I got the new blink floodlight 4 and tried to hook up the camera to it, the camera would not work with it because it was no longer compatible with the new floodlight. They had changed the port. So then I had to return the floodlight. I called blink and told them the problem and the people on the phone were very nice and helpful, and we’re sorry that no one had told me that the new floodlight was no longer compatible with the old camera. They told me to buy a new blink floodlight 3. I would have but they were unavailable. Different supervisors could not find any online anywhere. So they finally told me I would just have to buy a new blink floodlight 4 and spend the extra $129 for a new camera that would be compatible with it. After many calls, and talking with supervisors.. the higher up supervisors refused to make this situation right four different times. The customer service at blink is very good.. until you need a supervisor. And then it is very poor because they don’t let their supervisors make very good decisions. In the big picture Blink has not been a good product and I’m disgusted with the decision-making at the supervisory level.
