So, I tried to compare the A1cNow+ result with that of The result from the NHS lab, all tests being conducted on the same individual and within the hour. However, there was a discrepancy of over 10%, with the NHS placing the subject well over the diabetic threshold and the HbA1c well below it. In addition, two results were spoilt as the capillary tubes in the test gear refused to accept blood, in one case giving an error code. In the end, with kits still available from the multi-kit purchase and tests due to be performed, I declined to conduct any more tests as the results would not be known to be meaningful I raised all of this with the supplier, who referred my query to his supplier which might be the manufacturer or importer, but they were not interested in helping or supporting, instead sending an otherwise unremarked cut and paste of a document referring to user errors that can arise, but also hinting at test equipment issues. This was an expensive and failed purchase and I feel let down. I notice that in the days that I have been trying to obtain support, these test kits have ceased to be available for purchase on this platform, which for me speaks volumes, but regrettably does not resolve my issue.
