There is a little ridge on the shaft near the bottom, which "snaps" nicely into the duck and keeps it from sliding out. It requires a 7/32" (3mm) dia hole in your duck to operate correctly. CAREFULLY use a drill if your duck is undersize.The adhesive comes on a separate sheet and is easy to apply. There are no instructions, but I would recommend wiping the bottom surface with alcohol to remove any mold release or other contaminants before applying the adhesive disc.The cover paper is a little tedious to get off, but it's not impossible.Overall, I'm happy with these.
