The other end is similar to regular tooth pick, so you can get visible stuff get's in between teeth from outside. I dip brush side in mouthwash and clean in between teeth after I floss. This gets remaining stuff floss cannot get out very well. My daughter likes it to clean around her braces as well. **Q: Do these have any flavoring like mint or cinnamon or anything? The brush picks however are better than any I have every tried.
