I also have a dog and vast that shed horribly. Would this pick up the hair on the wood for my grandson?** A: The suction is very light, but depending on your type of dog hair it might get some. I might suggest this if you want your grandson to feel like he’s actually cleaning, https://www.walmart.com/ip/BLACK-DECKER-DUSTBUSTER-Quick-Clean-Cordless-Hand-Vacuum-HNV115J06/49418036 **Q: does it make noise? that is vitally important to the potential recipient!** A: Yes, it does. It requires batteries, and when you turn it on, it actually has a gentle suction action. It makes noise, but it's not the same caliber noise as a standard vacuum :) **Q: How long is the cord on this vacuum?** A: Battery operated. Cord is decorative only. Maybe 2 feet long, but not functional. **Q: What size batteries and how many?** A: Hi - here is a screen grab of the batteries required - if you cannot read it - it says 4 x "C' batteries required. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute mini shop vac *by on Reviewed in the United States 18 April 2026* Fast delivery , perfect for a 4 yo who wants to be like Poppy ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast delivery *by on Reviewed in Australia 9 April 2024* Came fast free delivery and matches the cleaning set perfectly ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My 3 year Grand son was sooooo excited to get this!! *by on Reviewed in Canada 14 October 2023* I bought this for my 3 year old grand son who loves to vacuum.
