I did it outside in the shade on my tractor cab that had a hole and several cracks from a tree limb hitting it. I measured and pre cut the mesh. Had it all separated and laid out. Don’t mix but a couple of ounces and don’t mix until you have EVERYTHING ready. You will have approximately 10 minutes to apply. Get extra cheap paint brushes as they will harden. Watch videos on U Tube before trying if you’re a beginner. Saved me 1500$ and I put 3 layers on in 1 hr. Rained heavily 2 days later and no leaks. Painted it the next day Photo is before and after
