## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would it hold a very large (3ftx4ft) magnet on a vehicle that isn’t metal?**
A: as long as you cut multiple strips, and long enough strips, I don't see why not. But remember,  it is tape, and the adhesive is strong and may damage paint on car.

**Q: I want to adhere this to a large panel on the side of our built in fridge am i making a mistake? if i ever want to remove it i don’t want it to ruin**
A: Use Goo Gone. Give it time. I keep an empty aluminum disposable pan under my sink to remove most labels. Isopropyl alcohol is for the bits remaining. You’ll need to keep reapplying the Goo Gone on a vertical surface. 

I swear- why don’t people know about Goo Gone? Isopropyl alcohol doesn’t work.

**Q: How easy to remove the tape?  Any residue on the wall?**
A: I have to disagree with the other answers — I just removed strips of this from two different surfaces (varnished wood and painted drywall) and removing the residue wasn’t trivial.

The tape itself is sharp, so you ideally want a metal paint scraper to get it started. Once started, the actual peeling is easy because the tape is metal and can’t be ripped. The backing has an intermediate foam layer though that disintegrates when you peel it off. The residue from this is very strong — I couldn’t get it off cleanly by hand with either 70% isopropyl alcohol or with Goof Off spray. I eventually had to get out my power drill with a nylon brush attachment. Even then it left a faint outline of the glue residue on both surfaces.

**Q: How strongly will a magnet stick to this?**
A: I used it a craft carnival for magnet display. It worked perfectly. I'm not sure what you need it for, but is the best magnetic "tape, sheet" out there. I also use Neodymium magnets, which are strong also.

If you are tired of magnetic toys, metal spice tins, or small tools cluttering up your counters, this self-adhesive metal strip is a brilliant way to display them on the wall. I stuck a banana to the strip with a heavy magnet in the photo for scale—it holds surprisingly well! It is a great, low-profile way to organize items vertically without drilling holes. WHAT MAKES IT GREAT: • The foam adhesive backing is very thick and sticks aggressively to textured drywall and painted wood shelves without peeling. • It is highly flexible and cuts easily with standard household scissors, letting you customize the length perfectly. CRITICAL DISTINCTION: • A lot of people misunderstand what this product is. This tape is NOT magnetic. It is simply a flexible strip of ferromagnetic metal that allows other magnets to stick to it. Also, the freshly cut edges can be surprisingly sharp, so round them off with your scissors if mounting it in a high-traffic area. THE BOTTOM LINE: A strong, easy-to-cut metallic strip for organizing magnetic items, provided you understand it does not produce its own magnetic field.
