Both designs are just as nice in person as they are online. The colours are vibrant and my girls love them. I would say they are of average build for four year olds and this bag is a great size for them. It will definitely still be useable next year which is great. I do really believe that it will last until then and still be in good shape to be used for another year. My 4 year olds are not gentle with their stuff and so far no sign of any damage. I am very happy with my purchase.
