I thought it was just going to be plastic glass with a photo effect on it. It even had proper hinges and doorbolt. It had a slight bit of damage on the edge of the door obviously caused by transit as the damage matched with the damage on the box. However, it's wood so we could rub it down if we wished. There was a plastic mirror protection to the back but we also put some extra protection on the back and duck taped it to ensure moisture wouldn't get in as the mirror could weather. We did also remove the mirror and reposition higher as there was a slight gap to the top. Looked perfect in the end. Very pleased as you can see by the photo, it really does look like an open gate. Review: Didn't last long. - I bought this in June 2025. Initially, I was very pleased with it, but I now see that after 6 months, the bottom rail has delaminated and the whole thing is now warped top to bottom, as can be seen by me holding a straight edge against it. I expected it to last longer than this. Thank you** A: Hi, it’s a dark colour, lighter than mahogany and obviously becomes lighter as it weathers.
