But it is bulkier and not as flexible as the slimmer ribbed style cord of the consumer unit. The cleaner works a little better and is quieter than my old unit. After using it *maybe* twice a month (14 times, a generous estimate) and without excessive on/off action, as of 3/26/26, the on/off switch does not stay engaged, so the vacuum will not work unless I tape the button down in the "on" position. The Amazon return window was 30 days from purchase, so I can't return it for a refund. Fortunately, it has a one-year warranty and Bissell will repair it for free. However, they said I can't take it to the licensed Bissell repair shop 6 miles away from me. I have to ship it out of state. While Bissell pays for shipping, I have to purchase a box large enough to ship it in. The only box I could find costs $25.53. So much for the "free" warranty repair. Not sure this $150 vacuum is worth the hassle. (I see that as of 4/7/26 it costs $164.95. Save your money.) I won't be buying another one when it no longer works and the warranty has expired, which, if this is any indication of the quality of the machine, I feel will probably be sooner rather than later.
