They are snug, comfortable and not too tight. the Padding is generous and combined with some 'bum salve', make an excellent combination for a long day in the saddle. No issues with quality, the stitching is strong, symmetrical and robust. I used them to replace a pair of padded Spandex shorts and it was a good decision, much more practical and comfortable. I am sure that the £50+ versions from other brands are more suited to riders who spend many hours a week in the saddle, but for the causal weekend rider who will do the occasional 2-4 hour ride, these are ideal.
