The duvet cover packaging was very dirty, had a few holes in, and had sticky patches on it. When I spend £27 on an Egyptian cotton duvet cover, I expect more than this. You wouldn't be able to give this as a gift to someone without them thinking you had bought it on the market for a tenner. If I had seen it in this condition in a shop, I wouldn't have gone near it!However, since getting the duvet cover out of it's packaging, I am happier with it. I haven't put it on a bed yet, but I have ironed it and felt it and it is quite nice. As I am a textile artist, I bought it to sew on so I have handled it thoroughly and am happy with it. It doesn't come with pillow cases which is a shame. Although it is adequate, (particularly for my purposes) I do not feel that it offers particularly good value for money. It's advantages are that it is 100% cotton, it's under £30 and it can be delivered next day. However, I think you could find something 'with more bang for your buck' elsewhere, such as TKMAXX. I do think it feels like quite nice quality, so if you are not bothered by the packaging or lack of pillowcases, or if it is reduced further, it might be worth it. However I'm really quite impressed. It's nice quality 100% cotton. It's quite lightweight, but ideal for summer. And it washed up quite nicely too.
