Instead of one large flat circle I got a large circle of small holes. I've found that 2-3 layers of offcuts from the same carpet as you've laid, cut to cover the bed feet with an overlap of around a centimetre, helps to protect the carpet but, more importantly, matches the carpet colour to make the feet less noticeable. The weight of the bed is going to compress the carpet whatever you do in my opinion. **Q: Are these cups strong enough to take the weight of a grand piano?** A: I'd say definitely not!! The idea is good but they are not strong enough to bear the weight of a good quality sofa with 2 people on it. They cracked and the hard plastic cup part shattered in situ, as the weight went on them. Very disappointing...no way you should try for a grand piano. Sorry! **Q: Are these suitable for a heavy piano?** A: I'm sure they will take the weight okay as they are very robust (at least the ones sent to me were). Problem comes if the item itself moves or shifts at all. The rim that that the piece of furniture sits in is vey shallow and if the item moves at all it can easily pop out of the cup. A better design would be a deeper cup which I have suggested previously in feedback.
