I was expecting to be horrified and giddy at seeing how much dust this little vacuum sucked up. It didn't pick up much from our mattress or couch but to be fair I use an allergy mattress cover for our mattress and pillows and I just laundered our couch covers. Despite not seeing much of anything in the collection bin, I at least have the peace of mind that everything has been sanitized. As far as the weight of the product, it seemed sturdy and was not too heavy for my arthritic hands. The cord was a decent length and I was able to vacuum my entire king size mattress without having to move the cord to another outlet. No assembly is required and a filter is already installed - just plug and play. Suction power seemed sufficient enough and I'm ready to test this bad boy out at my son's house.
