Review: Buy this one. It's great. 2 years and going strong. - I've got a very small apartment, no kitchen to speak of so having a double burner hot plate was a must. After carefully reading through reviews and keeping a budget in mind, I decided on this one. It did not disappoint. I've had this Imusa for damn near two years and it still works perfectly well with high usage. It DOES occasionally shut itself off but that usually only happens when both burners are turned to full heat and will reset if you give it a few minutes. To be clear, I do meal prep two or three times per week. Often making large portions of food and snacks, this thing has been a friggin rock star for my non-kitchen kitchen. I've had this one for two Christmases now, it's worth every penny and I will be buying again when this one eventually conks out. Easy to clean and store, it's a great purchase.

**Q: Can you lift up the coils to clean beneath them?  (Doesn't look like it.)**
A: Yes you can.,

**Q: Can you replace the coils if they ever fail?**
A: Yes, you may buy them separately and replace.

**Q: Does it use the 1500 watts if one burner is on?**
A: The burners are different wattages. I used the lower one only (perhaps 650 watts) for my candle making hobby. I cannot recommend this product. My usage was moderate and not that often. However the item died in less than two months. Buy something better.

**Q: will the temperatures go high enough to boil water?**
A: Yes make sure you have a top to cover the pot for faster boiling

We’ve been using this for the past five months in place of a stove while we’ve been trying to get our kitchen renovated. It looks like it will be at least two or three more months until the kitchen is done, so luckily for us this little hot plate is still working great. Both burners heat up quickly and stay hot as long as we need them to (they don’t turn off automatically like I read in some reviews). This is very lightweight, though, which can make cooking precarious at times. While I would much rather have a stove this has been a decent substitute.
