The hinged lid is great so you never misplace the lid or drop it. Easy to clean and the included butter knife is an added bonus. I usually use a butter bell, but in the southwest, it doesn't work well in the summer months. So I got this and it's a really nice add to my kitchen.

This the 2nd one I purchased. This product is fantastic ! The ease of use is great, it keeps 1 or 2 sticks of butter soft but not too soft. The butter is kept covered and lid opens/shuts nicely. Diswasher safe adds a nice touch. The vibrant color (orange) is amazing ! Definitely recommend.
