You'll have to snap them in quite carefully to avoid chewing off part of the plastic locator lugs, especially if you have the cleat clamp tension at maximum. I'd question the longevity if you were fitting and removing frequently as the plastic lugs would wear down. I see these adaptors as either being for incidental use or fit and forget. In use, they provide reasonable support and have a slightly grippy upper face for footwear contact. I wouldn't want to use them for long distances with soft soled footwear especially if you have wide feet as they are only 60mm wide compared to ~115mm width of my Size 10 trainers - I expect foot fatigue would result quite quickly. If, however, you somehow lost a cleat mid ride (or more likely a cleat fixing screw) you could snap one of these in place to get you home. They are extremely light and just about small enough to be stowable somewhere in a bike repair kit...as long as you aren't one of those cyclists who obsess over every gram. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid construction. These fit my SPDs perfectly. *by D***K on 2 November 2023* Solid construction. These fit my SPDs perfectly.Would like to see a reflector on these in the future, for added visibility at night. ## Frequently Bought Together - HOUSON Road Bike Pedals, Cycling Pedal Adapter Compatible with Shimano M520 M540 M780 M8000 M9000 Pedal - Continental Cross 28 700 x 32-42c Bike Inner Tubes - Presta 42mm Valve (Pair) - Elite Bottle Holder Custom Race --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/555117800-road-bike-pedals-cycling-pedal-adapter-compatible-with-shimano-m520](https://www.desertcart.us/products/555117800-road-bike-pedals-cycling-pedal-adapter-compatible-with-shimano-m520) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
