Recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install, loud, looks good, battery arrangement odd, good ramge *by G***H on 5 March 2021* Bought pack of 4. All supplied with needed batteries. Odd that it takes 9v and 3 AA batteries on each unit - seems the 9v is for the smoke detection and the AA's for the radio link. I guess this is a mash up of a standard smoke detector and some kind of radio beacon. Anyway, linking them together was easy as was installing the batteries. The units were VERY VERY VERY difficult to twist onto their mounting bases the first few times I had to do this 'off ceiling' to loosen them up a bit. Suggest holding the base plate in a towel to avoid it cutting into your hands as you struggle to twist fit the alarm body onto it these first few times. The range is good - covering top of 1st floor stairs, bottom of stairs and I installed one in the kitchen (my elderly uncle no longer cooks for himself so if there is smoke in there there is a problem!) and I even installed one some 20 metres away in a garage as he keeps his old dryer in there. Really good.
