- High Temperature Resistant - Flame Retardant: Polyimide tape not only flame retardant (at temperatures as low as -273°C (-459°F) and as high as 400°C (752°F)), but also chemical and radiation resistant which protects surfaces to help reduce replacement costs

**Q: Would this work well as a film to put over a white LED light bar in order to make an amber fog light beam?**
A: To some extent, yes.  It's high heat resistance would also be a plus.  You might be better served if you found some stage lighting 'gels' as they are specificly designed for doing just what you want to do.

**Q: Is this tape UV light blocking**
A: To be honest with you I’m not certain, I use it to become a barrier between the core and the copper wire when I wind electromagnetic coils so the core metal rod does not overheat,, it is translucent so I would imagine it would block some IV rays but certainly not all ,, I hope this helps you

**Q: Can this tape work as an insulator? I need to protect a plastic piece from surounding heat and keep it from getting soft or melting.**
A: No. This is an electrical insulator, not a thermal insulator. It can withstand a higher temperature than regular electrical tape without breaking down, but it does not insulate thermally.

**Q: How do you apply this tape? need heat? need to stretch at the time of applying? Thank you.**
A: We use this tape to hold insulation in place on engine covers. Make sure the surface is clean and stick it on.

We recently build a small concrete bridge for the FDOT. They designed the railings as heavy treated timber with stainless connector gussets but wanted to save some money on the bolts, so they went galvanized. Actually it saved them around $20,000 on the difference between 1'' diameter stainless bolts and galvanized. Easy to do with a 1'' x 15'' SS timber bolt costing $160 each.Their spec was to use 2 mil polyimide tape to separate any galvanize from stainless to prevent galvanic corrosion.

I use it for protection of circuit boards, and insulating contacts on 18650 battery packs I build.It sticks very well, it's robust, so it doesn't puncture or tear like other polyamide tapes.I've used it for 3d printing, sublimation printing, and other things.Just all around great tape!As an aside, I usually tear it with my mouth. I'm not going to say it has a pleasing flavor, but if you've tasted some of the other poly tapes? They'll make you gag!This one doesn't really bother me.just an FYI!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ tubeless tape alternative

i taped up 2 roval cl50 rims with vittoria corsa pro tires, 30mm. Removed Roval tape because of valve leaks. Retaped with 1in tape master tape. wrapped 2x. becareful to work tape slowly around rim to prevent tape from folding over. punctured tape with tubeless valve stem and finger tightened valve to rim. Be sure to ride a few times to let sealant get into the cotton casing. It will lose air for a few days. Mine stopped leaking air after 3 days of riding. i checked for air seapage by spraying soapy water onto sidewall. best cost effective alternative to name brand tubeless tape. no leaks after 200 miles.
