Assuming it is light weight and could blow away?** A: They look so light, but believe it or not, they are heavy enough that they don't blow away. The funny part is that they look like the real thing. Hard to tell them apart from real rocks. **Q: Can the back be cut out? If so, with what tool?** A: This product can be carefully cut using a power saw **Q: Is it waterproof so electrical equipment wont get wet underneath?** A: Not sure about waterproof. I keep mine running 24/7. I bough a fake rock to hide and cover it. I also put three bricks under it to keep it off of the ground. When it gets below freezing, the unit runs, but the air lines freeze up and no air gets to the stones. I pull it out of the pond and let the lines thaw out inside the house. The stones can be cleaned off with mild soap and water. You should get some extra air line and swap out with the old lines. **Q: Is this hallow underneath? How big is the opening?** A: Hi there, I just measured one. It is almost as big inside as outside. On the long edge it is 10" across and at the deepest spot the hole inside the rock is about 5" deep.
