A: Yes--it has access to the sunshine. Mine is actually in partial shade on the North side of my house and it still provides enough power for the lights to shine all night. Very pleased with the unit.

A: 2024 Upgraded solar panels,higher charging efficiency.Charging for 6-8 hours, you can use it all night.

**Q: Are the stems metal or pvc?**
A: They are not pvc, the bottom part is metal.Upper part that sways is flexible. They are so fun to look at and colorful at night.
