## Description

These small scales are ideal for close-up photography.Printed on matte white, non-reflective rigid plastic. Our No. 2 scale is an ABFO-type scale used for bitemark measurement and photography. The incorporation of three circles is useful in helping to compensate for distortion resulting from oblique camera angles. Graduations are all metric except for the width of the legs, which are 25cm wide. The 1cm division lines are traced and extended across the photographic print to grid an image. Measurements within the image are then made relative to these inscribed 1cm grid lines to compensate for any distortion resulting from nonparallelism between the film and the object planes.

A: If the circle is oblong or not a perfect circle it suggests that the camera was at an angle, making the perspective wrong. This circle can also be used to correct the angle when the image is imported into a design tool. The image can be adjusted until the circle is back to perfect. Its better to take an image with no angle. :-)
