## Description

Aluminum Connecting Rod Vise for Holding Connecting Rods Replace 66769 , Red Replace:66769 Connecting rod vise Material: This rod vise is designed for all size of aluminum or steel rods Features: Holding connecting rods securely without damaging them is necessary for removing or installing rod bolts, beam polishing or maching Note: Please make sure the car's model if fit your car or not before you order

Review: A Must-Have for LS Rod Bolts - When working on rods you need a smooth clamp to not damage them. This works excellently. It is much larger than you likely think based on the picture. You will need a standard vise to hold it. Once in place, it is very solid and will safely allow you to break-loose and stretch test rod bolts.
Review: Product needs modification to be functional - First time I used the tool I could not unclamp the connecting rod I had in there. The grub screw did not hold and started winding up the thread with the handle and would not undo the vise. I removed the handle and made an indent and tried to get the grub screw to lock into the indent, same thing. I had to fit the handle up and then drill right through and I fitted a 4mm bolt and nyloc nut right through shaft and handle. I also was not happy how the threaded rod in the centre just contacted the anodised aluminium on the top side there was no bearing or anything to make it turn easily.

Mounted securely in vise. Held connecting rods securely as well. Only problem was didn't compress enough to hold by rod beam, if needed. Could remove springs if necessary, that might give enough travel.
