It is designed to deliver a durable, reclosable fastening solution (which can be opened and closed multiple times) which bonds to a variety of substrates including metals and plastics such as acrylics, polycarbonate and ABS.
- HIGH QUALITY: Black, interlocking mushroom-shaped heads (250 stem density per square inch) provide strong, reliable and durable fastening that can be opened and closed multiple times. White, acrylic, conformable foam tape bonds well to a variety of substrates including metals and plastics such as acrylics, polycarbonate and ABS. Strong fastener secures with an audible snap, verifying closure. Features good temperature resistance of 200°F (93°C).
- APPLICATION: This SJ3550 dual lock mushroom clasp uses an acrylic adhesive to bond to a range of high surface energy materials, including some plastics, metals, glass and lacquered surfaces.It enables quick and easy installation without the need for mechanical mounting..After bonding, the interlocked mushroom stems can be fixed, spiral and rivet, but they can be easily separated and accessible to the fixed objects.
- INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL: At room temperature, approximately 50% of the ultimate strength will be achieved after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours. Spraying alcohol on the tape then it is easy to peel off. Please clean the bonding surface and do not touch the stick layer before using, if anything touched the stick layer. It will peel away.

**Q: Because it's mated, is the actual usable length 1/2 of the length listed?**
A: Yes.  This product is all I use on my pedalboards.

**Q: is the length described refering to the actual mounting length? or in reality one gets half because you need to use two pieces of the tape?**
A: It is the actual length of the roll. There are different types of Dual Lock, allowing a person to mix and match types allowing for different amounts of adhesion between two devices.

As an example, you may want less adhesion for a removable TV remote control mounted to a wall, vs mounting a IP-TV permanently to a surface behind the display. This is doble by mixing and matching Dual Lock products.

**Q: Does the adhesive get soft when it warms? I want to use in a window to hang foil/foam insulation. Hook/loop adhesives tend to let go when sun hits it.**
A: It will if exposed to direct sunlight.

**Q: is thisw waterproof?**
A: Hard to say without knowing the intended application. The construction of the hook and loop is entirely plastic so yes there. The adhesive is very strong however I doubt it would withstand constant submersion. If were talking a bit of rain here or there. I'd bet it would last through a season, depending on the application surface. Make sure its clean and dry and kept dry for a few days until it is "set". Hope that helps
