A: I have absolutely no idea why a metal object made in China is a problem. Do you realize that virtually EVERYTHING you use or wear today (clothes, shoes, small appliances, phones, etc. etc. etc) is made in that country thanks to big corporations trying to maximize their profits. Granted I definitely do not like to swallow anything made there but even then I regretfully do not always have a choice.  And yes, the Chinese do make some tawdry stuff but the curtains all through my house are beautiful and 1/3 the the price I would have paid at Penney's. Every time I cut my nails I am grateful for the sharpest and best  pair of clippers I have ever owned.  made and sold by a Chinese company. If you want to avoin EVERYTHING  that is manufactured in China I am afraid you would have to move to a log cabin in the wilderness and make everything yourself. Sad but true.
