That liquid seems more than 3 ounces. **Q: Do they expire? Can you store long term?** A: I don’t see an expiration date on the individual packages or the larger carton. **Q: Is there a storage temperature range for this product? we live in the southwest, usa. can they stay in a car with desert temps?** A: I am not sure on that. Our temp has gotten to a hundred degrees here in Oklahoma where I live, and they have been fine in the car. Now I did not put the whole box. I only carry a few at a time and refill when needed. I hurt my ankle playing rugby so needed an ice pack to help with pain and healing. I read the reviews and, although there are a few bad ones I went with it simply because most of the bad reviews mentioned things like "wouldn't freeze" "exploded in freezer" when the instructions CLEARLY say "NO FREEZER REQUIRED"!!! These couldn't be any easier to use! Simply squeeze gently until you hear a pop then shake vigorously to mix contents and, hey presto, you have a nice cold ice pack!! Been sat here for over 15 minutes already with a pack held in place on my ankle via an elasticated bandage and it's still ice cold.
