I bought this item (SoundBot SB360) along with a Phillips tape adapter (that brand works best in my car) and a 3.5mm coupler. It works perfectly. I just coil the excess cords and put them in the little shelf-cubby-thing behind my shifter...if you don't have a space like that, just add some automatic cord winders to your order to manage the excess. **Q: is there engine whine?** A: The engine whine is caused by having your source and your stereo on the same power supply. For less than $10 you can buy a ground loop isolator that you put in between the source (such as this bluetooth adapter) and the aux input on your car and it will eliminate the whine. I bought an mpow one but I believe SoundBot also makes one. The same isolator will work if you even want to just plug a phone or MP3 player in directly too. It took me years to figure this out but it was one of the best $10 I even spent once I did. **Q: Does this turn on automatically when I start my car and does it connect automatically?** A: Yes and yes. Make sure that your Bluetooth is on, on your phone. When you turn your car on, it will turn the device on. **Q: can you charge it while using it? (ie never have to worry about turning it off when you turn the car off)** A: The SB360 has no battery so it can't be charged and consequently, it turns off immediately when electrical power is removed. However, if and when the power is removed depends on the car model. Some cars permanently provide power to the cigarette lighter (power) ports, even when the ignition/accessory switch is turned off. In that case if you leave the SB360's power supply connected, the power supply will eventually run down the battery. Some cars leave the power switched on to the power/cigarette-lighter ports for about 10 minutes. Some cars turn the power off (to those ports) as soon as the ignition switch is turned off.If the power is left on, the SB360 will shut down after 10 minutes of inactivity, but if you've got the SB360 plugged into a power supply that doesn't turn itself off when connected to an always-on cigarette lighter port, then the power supply itself will drain your battery even though the SB360 turns itself off. (That happened to me.) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkable bit of kit for the cost *by N***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 March 2017* I bought this not really expecting a lot to be homest but its exceeded my expectations by farIts nicely packaged with a decent length of wire, a magnetic base with a further spare sticky pad and 2 metal clips if you need them.Pairing was simple and took 30 seconds, its really clear when playing music from the iphone to the aux. Once set up I called my wife and she said it was no different to when i called her using the handset and hearing her through the Aux mode was again really clear.I was looking to upgrade my radio to a more expensive bluetooth/ipod one but now this has saved me pennies. For £15 its a remarkable bit of kit, if you are thinking about it just buy it. It will save you pennies and it will keep you safe from the Police fining you and putting points on your license. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great product well worth every penny *by A***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 February 2017* I bought couple of other makes that are floating on Amazon, I'm an audiophile, I love my music and I sense the slightest distortion in music reproduction.I can say hands on heart, this product ticks all the boxesWell made - quality wiseFeels good / not cheapThe microphone is great , never had a problem with making / receiving calls on gsm/ Facebook messenger etcMusic is vivid.Connects to the phone straight.Really good product well worth the cash ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great bang for the buck *by B***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 October 2016* The soundbot sb360, I have bought it for my focus mk1 in order to stop having wires everywhere. The audio quality isn't the best and the hum from an ground loop made me buy an ground loop isolator. But other than that it works great. The buttons the fast to connect to mobile phone and even be able to answer calls it's one of the things that made me buy this item. The bang for the buck of this item it's great. So I would recommend buy it if you are ready for its faults. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/54686756-soundbot-sb360-bluetooth-car-kit-hands-free-wireless-talking-music](https://www.desertcart.us/products/54686756-soundbot-sb360-bluetooth-car-kit-hands-free-wireless-talking-music) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
