Not sure if you could say i got what I paid for this particular item but it does come with a sleeve and it's a decent size. First thing I immediately noticed was the fact that my ground beans seeped through the filter as soon as I put it in the water; obviously I'm gonna filter out the ground beans when it's done brewing after half a day in the fridge. Kind of a shame since this was my first slow brew bottle, but you can't really expect much either way. Moral of the story, just put ground beans that aren't that grounded up or fine, and save your expensive beans for an actual brewer to get the full experience. You're paying for convenience when it comes to this item - not the quality.Edit: the instructions tell you to have a certain type of grind - so above is initially my fault for not reading the instructions, but it would've been nice to know before buying this. Anyway, I just answered my own question. It made from borosilicate glass. I love borosilicate glass. So, I can be sure to make hot tea with it. I love my coffee, cold. and I love my tea, hot.
