More so as where I live you need to let tap water sit open for a bit to get rid of the taste of whatever tap water is treated with here. These bottles are stylish enough to put on your table, something that cannot be said about 2-litre supermarket bottles. They have a metal base and cap which makes them very stable and contributes to the clean look of the design. They look solid and incredibly well made. While not cheap I predict these will last for many years to come. The bottles come with a list of Do’s and Don’ts (for example they must not be put in the dishwasher, thankfully that information is on a sticker on the bottle itself too) and it’s important to hang on to that list so you can check, as one is bound to forget the detail after a while. Very happy with this purchase. Gone back to using my old soda stream** A: This bottle fits for Ararke carbonator only as far as I know. **Q: The cap smells of mold. How can the cap be cleaned thoroughly to avoid that?** A: I use a mild solution of Milton once in a while to sanitise the bottle and cap **Q: Are these bottles dishwasher safe?** A: No they are not - unfortunately! And in fact cannot use water over 40 degrees on them, so even a hot tap can do damage. Luckily because they only have water in they are fairly easily cleaned.
