The up and down width is generous, and may be too much for petite bone structures.I dont wear these with socks outside, but have worn these with socks inside. Fits either way. Material has some give. So you will most likely find that it hugs the foot. Not constricting.Enough length to allow for toe spread and forward reach after the heel to toe roll. So for me I like having the little added length.Ive been wearing minimalist flat shoes for a few years, or going bare foot. I thought that was good for the feet?
