It's handy and has proven to be very useful thus far. The actual brick with the ports/plug-ins is smaller than you would expect and goes essentially unnoticed on my desk as it blends in to the table top well and is unobtrusive when I'm working. Obviously, having the additional USB ports is wonderful for getting everything charged and ready to go but the 2 additional outlets on the side of the brick are the most compelling elements. It's great to not have to reach down under your desk to find an outlet when the need arises and the length/quality of the 8-foot cord makes it so you can place the brick anywhere you should need it.I also bought one for my father who typically works from clients' sites and had been complaining about the lack of power many of their offices (don't) have.
