There was minimal Styrofoam which I appreciated, but pieces were well-protected via packing and cardboard. The directions were clear, and all pieces were there. They even provided extra screws which I appreciated. I put it together by myself in under 2 hrs without any mishaps/frustration while watching tv). I was impressed with this piece.
