They also hold up well to being machine washed, but if you're like me and use a clothesline instead of a dryer then it's best to hang them inside out for about an hour and then switch to normal to finish drying because they are indeed waterproof and the water has a hard time escaping if hung normally like any other pillowcase. These are definitely a great way to keep your pillows nice and offer much better protection than a standard pillowcase. I have these on each of my pillows under the pillowcases which leaves me two extra to keep in the linen closet to switch out when washing the others. A very great value with this 4 pack.
