What a difference, the Mira shower was very easy to fit and worked amazingly well right from the start. Temperature and flow first class. The old saying buy cheap buy twice applied totally in this case. It is much better to pay a bit extra for the quality of the Mira Showers. One review noted that the method of holding the flexible hand spray in an fully enclosed ring was not very pratical but this was easily overcome by buying, from Amazon, a H&S shower head holder for £7.99.
