It's expensive, but worth the money to create exceptional ribbon fries. I mounted mine on a nice piece of oak board so that it is stabilized and portable. With the limited size of household friers available, you can cut far more potatoes than you can fry in the same amount of time. It takes less than 30 seconds to cut a full-size russet potato once the potato has been inserted into the cutter. Review: great for crispy ribbon potato chips - I really like this ribbon cutter. It makes long spiral potatoes. When deep fried they are delicious crispy chips.
