It is stable with the poles alone, but it is very light weight and the wind will blow it around easily if not weighted down or staked. **Q: Does it leave you wet with perspiration in the morning (adequate ventilation)? Doesn't look like it breaths much.** A: I've used mine only once and it was not in rainy weather. Didn't have trouble with perspiration but maybe that was because of the good weather. IN general, I think that if you use the little aluminum tent poles and have sort of a tiny tent over your head and leave your head far enough out so you're not breathing inside the bag you won't have much condensation. **Q: 12"×5"×1".
