They were the perfect height for my countertop. I was worried they were going to be challenging to assemble. It took about an hour. They look great. The stools are incredibly sturdy. I love the rivets in the fabric, they look great in my kitchen, and I think they will last a long time too! The fabric wipes down easily and doesn't seem to have tended to pile or anything yet. I will update my review later if that happens but I am so pleased that I got these. Once I realized that, I slightly lengthened the hole in the crossbar and was able to get the screw to fit.In another chair, one of the crossbars' ends isn't really slanted properly to fit well.FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Only loosely attach the legs to the base first, then attach the crossbars and tighten them up, and THEN tighten up the legs to the base.
