Does it offer better protection to a "naked" gopro, yes. Problem is the bolts. The bolts are TINY... tiny hex head bolts... if you drop a bolt good luck finding it but it comes with 1 spare of each bolt... Another Problem: the tiny hex heads are easily stripped... if you strip the head of the bolt with your gopro inside the shell your go pro is trapped. I installed my gopro to test the shell and fitment... tried to remove the bolts to free my gopro from the shell only to realize that 2 of 3 bolts are stripped at head... My gopro session is trapped. I will leave it trapped for now since I can access all the gopro ports & slots with the shell on... when I do decide to remove the gopro from from this jail shell I will have to get a flat head and pry at the door until the bolts snap off at the head... and they will snap because they are so small. 3/5 stars because the bolts did not come stripped... I admit That the stripped heads are likely from me 'over tightening' but the bolts are so small that it is way too easy to over tighten... too easy. ### ⭐⭐ Camera rattled around in this case *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2020* This case is good, but the hero5 session camera rattled around in it. The original plastic casing is just too flimsy for my purposes and cracked over time. There is a weight penalty, but it's worth it.
