The matte finish will not reflect any light, which normally makes it hard to see your work. Review: TOP QUALITY NEEDLES - Amazing! I have been researching needles for a while and really wanted to try a Chiagoo before buying an expensive set. However, I can understand the pricing after my test with this pair. Is absolutely smooth and amazing to knit with. The cable is flexible and have no memory - meaning you can twist and it will not bend and mark. The needles are dense, but not heavy, which means is great to grip, comfortable and smooth and don't make the clicking sound of cheap metal needles I had before. This was a great purchase, and Im buying more - I recommend buying only the sizes you really need separately - in my case, 3mm and 3,5mm.

**Q: How to protect my fingers from hurting when knitting?? These tips are sharp**
A: I am also a tight knitter and am working on loosen up, but in the meantime, when I need to knit with thin, sharp needles, I wear small 
bandaids on the tip of my right hand finger (am also a english style flicking knitter). Work on loosening up and building a little callous where you touch the needle tip. Good luck.

**Q: How long is the actual needle?**
A: The metal ends are 5"' and the plastic they are joined to is long.  Needles are great, somewhat like addi turbos, but much less expensive.

**Q: Is the 40" cable long enough to knit a 60" wide blanket?**
A: It would depend on the weight of the yarn. I had light wt. yarn and the item I knitted, granted a lacy pattern, was about 64." (This was for a flounce at the bottom of a swing sweater.) Good luck.

**Q: where can I find a circular needle size 15?**
A: These circulars do go up to 15s. Under the picture should be a line with the current item listed, with an arrow. Click on it to see other available sizes.

Good knitting needles, i like the stainless steel ends and cord is wonderful, it doesn't tangle like the plastic cord circular needles.
