But Do Not rinse it before putting it in tank. There are no directions on the bag. You have to remember the description of the product that is given on Amazon when you purchase it.It states it has been cleaned 3 times and can go straight into the tank. So please don't rinse it as it will leave a big mess and you have to let it dry enough before placing in the tank otherwise your humidity will go through the roof and you will probably cause it to be too wet for the snake.It does hold moisture well.The price was great for the size of the bag. I ended up mixing it with some subsaturate I already had and it then was safe to put in my tank.Again, one does not need to clean it before placing in the tank.
