Theirs was wired correctly (with more advanced electronics in the head), so I figured this was a fluke. It's not big enough by it's self because koi are just super messy fish but paired with a secondary waterfall filter and some floating plants it's a darn good addition it filters both large chunks and ultra tiny pea green water out and the UV bulb can keeps water crystal clear.
