They're pretty comfortable, I haven't had any shedding so far, I wore them out so much and yet the soles are still intact, no separation, after so many months of use they are still soft, not as soft as when I first got them, but still relatively soft. As for size, size up I am a size 8 in most brands of women's shoes, I got a size 9-10 and they JUST fit like it's perfect, no more no less it just fits my feet.
