Monthly ? ?** A: I would expect that depends on how much use it gets. I find I am not using it as much as my longer handled brush. The bristles are softer than I expected and when scrubbing they bend easily. So I tend to only use it occasionally. When the bristles start to spread is when I replace my brushes. I usually will clean the brushes by putting them through the dishwasher , top rack, but I am not sure if the wood knob handle will be okay after. I don’t think I will replace it with another when it is time. But, it looks nice sitting on the counter basically unused! **Q: Can you buy ceramic dish?** A: Mine came with it. **Q: Can you buy ceramic dish separately?** A: Ceramic dish came with brush **Q: How would you use this to clean a glass?** A: I wouldn’t use this on glass. The bristles are very firm and could scratch the glass. Holds up well after 3 months. I recommend this brush, but you gotta ditch the rope b/c it will eventually get moldy around the handle. When that happened to me, I tossed the rope in the trash, soaked the brush in a diluted bleach solution overnight to remove black stain around the handle, and now it's good as new. NOTE: This is a light brush, not an abrasive scrubber! Use a chainmail on your cast iron, barkeepers friend on your stainless steel, and this brush for your dishes and silverware.
