Being in a humid, salt air environment, I spend a little extra money to buy high quality stainless steel screws to avoid rusty screws (and hassle of broken heads caused by rust over time) and associated stains on walls. A comment from another reviewer indicates these are being falsely advertised as stainless steel because they do not stick to a magnet. There are many grades of stainless steel with some magnetic while others are not. Type 410 is a martensitic stainless steel which is magnetic and provides excellent corrosion resistance plus high strength and hardness. Type 316, marine grade, is austenitic stainless steel and not magnetic.I was concerned these might be a cheap knock-off and not authentic Power Fasteners' 410 SS screws. To my knowledge, the name "Powers Fastening Innovations" used in the description and link is not the name of the original company (i.e., Power Fasteners) which caused me to wonder what I was really buying. Power Fasteners is now branded as a DeWalt product after being acquired by Stanley Black & Decker.I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and a price of about $22.50 is very reasonable. The 100 ct. box also included the proper size drill bit. These have a silver coating on them because Type 410 Stainless can get some corrosion, that's normal, so don't expect something that's not possible. I bought another manufacturer's 410 SS concrete screws to compare and they are similar and coated.
