It is "Rustic" in appearance and not a fine pice of woodworking as I have seen in retail stores. I would have given it 5 stars if the cutting of the lid had not caused small chips in the wood on 2/3 of the box (perhaps a sharper saw was needed). I bought the "Natural" color box and wonder if the darker wood stain might have covered the small chips in the wood better. Still, for the price I am happy with this purchase. Had the cut edge been smooth all the way around, as it was on 1/3 of the box, I would have been delighted.
